WebChemistry has a range of Windows-based hosting services that it provides to its web design customers.

Hosting Services:
We offer hosting on Microsoft Windows 2000 servers which support technologies such as Active Server Pages that we use to produce the majority of our sites. There is no obligation to use our hosting services, however many of our customers find it more convenient to use the same company for their web design and hosting provider which is the reason we offer the service.

We can provide your business with various hosting options including:

Domain Registration
We can register domain names on your behalf with any of the following extensions:
.com
.co.uk
.net
.org
.org.uk
.biz
.info
.tv
.me.uk (for personal sites)
.ltd.uk (Limited companies only - the domain must exactly match the name of your company)
.plc.uk (PLCs only - the domain must exactly match the name of your PLC)

Web Space
Whatever the size of your site, we can accommodate it on our servers. We can offer faster servers to sites that require more speed and bandwidth.

E-Mail
We can set up as many POP3 accounts as you require. We can also set up e-mail forwarders. Alternatively we can provide you with a web-based control panel allowing you to manage your own e-mail accounts. Virus checking is available on e-mail accounts for a small fee.

Website Statistics
How many visitors is your site receiving? How often do they come? How long do they stay? Which part of the world do they come from? How did they find your site? You can receive invaluable answers to all these questions and more by subscribing to our Matrix Statistics Service for a small additional charge to your hosting fees.

Secure Webspace
We can provide secure webspace protected by Thawte SSL 128 bit encryption. This is required for online ordering systems as it encrypts sensitive credit card and order information and promotes visitor confidence when placing orders via your website.

URL Security
If you require a certain area of your site to be password protected, we can provide this service at a small additional charge. This is always required for websites with stock control or content management systems.

Windows Streaming Media
Streaming media is a content delivery system allowing your visitors to view multimedia content without downloading the entire media file. Instead it is streamed directly to the browser. We support Microsoft's Windows Streaming Media format (.wma, .wmv, .asf etc). This service is available at an extra charge.

Frontpage Extensions
Frontpage extensions are available if necessary for a small charge although these are not generally required.

FTP
FTP Accounts can be provided if required. This may be useful as a means of adding image or music files to your site as part of a content management solution.
